White wine from Burgundy. 100% Chardonnay. Appellation Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru. Viticulture respectful of the environment and the people who live and work there. Natural winemaking, aged 18 months in demi-muids, bottled unfiltered.
Planted by my grandfather Albert Morey, this parcel is divided in two with my sister Caroline and is planted from the bottom to the top of the hillside. Situated right in the heart of the cru, it allows us to extract all the characteristics of freshness, power and length. This terroir can suffer from a lack of water on certain vintages, particularly in the upper part, but the wines are never marked by an overripe character.
This is the story of a Burgundian winemaker who came to Luberon. He drew on his roots to make unique wines in the south.
A family call and a timely proposal put the winemaker back on the road. Today, from north to south and south to north, each vintage is written in the plural.
