White wine from Burgundy. 100% Chardonnay. Appellation Chassagne-Montrachet Village. Viticulture respectful of the environment and the people who live and work there. Natural winemaking, aged 18 months in demi-muids, bottled unfiltered.
A blend of 3 parcels, the Cuvée de Chassagne Village Blanc is a faithful reflection of the wines of the vineyard. La Bergerie is a beautiful parcel of land leased by the estate. Perfectly situated near the Château de Chassagne-Montrachet, it combines deep clay and pebbles to produce a consistently well-balanced harvest. It is the heart of the Domaine’s Chassagne-Montrachet Village Blanc cuvée. Les Pierres, with its sandier soils, is more precocious and brings a lovely ripe fruitiness to the blend. As for Petit Clos, well sheltered by its walls and very clayey, it brings a sappy side to the final wine.
This is the story of a Burgundian winemaker who came to Luberon. He drew on his roots to make unique wines in the south.
A family call and a timely proposal put the winemaker back on the road. Today, from north to south and south to north, each vintage is written in the plural.
