Red wine from the Rhône Valley. Appellation IGP Vaucluse. 100% Pinot Noir. ECOCERT-certified organic viticulture. Manual harvest. Natural vinification. Long maturation in demi-muids.
This cuvée comes from plants planted in 2015 on part of the Capriers plot to replace old Syrah stock. As a result, the vines behave differently from normal vines, with competition from the remaining old stock giving the young vines a hard time. We therefore need to keep a close eye on the ripeness of the grapes to avoid any concentration at the end of the harvest.
Partly vinified in whole bunches, these grapes harvested at full ripeness have a somewhat unprecedented power for the variety. The provençal sunshine is tempered by the altitude, and it’s not unusual for me to harvest this plot after those of Chassagne-Montrachet. Aging is the same as in Burgundy, over 18 months in demi-muids.
MILLÉSIMES
This is the story of a Burgundian winemaker who came to Luberon. He drew on his roots to make unique wines in the south.
A family call and a timely proposal put the winemaker back on the road. Today, from north to south and south to north, each vintage is written in the plural.
