Burgundy red wine. 100% Pinot Noir. Appellation Santenay 1er Cru. Viticulture respectful of the environment and the people who live and work there. Natural winemaking, aged 18 months in demi-muids, bottled unfiltered.
Planted by my grandfather Albert with his sons, Jean-Marc (my father) and Bernard (my uncle). Today, we share this parcel with my cousin Thomas Morey. Its light, clear, almost sandy soils and terroir marked by altitude produce full-bodied, powerful, highly floral wines. They are perfectly suited to vinification using partially whole bunches of grapes to best express this unique blend of power and finesse. Close to the Maranges, this late-ripening terroir produces wines with characteristics close to those of certain Côtes de Nuits crus.
This is the story of a Burgundian winemaker who came to Luberon. He drew on his roots to make unique wines in the south.
A family call and a timely proposal put the winemaker back on the road. Today, from north to south and south to north, each vintage is written in the plural.
